About 22 projects ago in 2013 we had a shot with Jasmin at our campus in Pasila. We had great fun and the photoshoot was a great success. We had talked about making another shoot multiple times among the school years, but there was always something; tests, long projects and so on and so on. Now, as summer had started, there was no burden of school for our plans and we finally managed to fit our schedules together.

I can finally introduce you to Project L’s 38th part – Nuuksio national park.

The weather was really on our side, as there was a thin layer of clouds between us and the sun, thus diffusing the hard, high-contrast midday lights of the sun. Although it was windy – and I mean really, really windy – the temperatures were just perfect for a person to wear a full-body latex catsuit. Not too warm, yet not too cold.

Neither of us had visited the Nuuksio national park for over ten years or so, thus this was a perfect opportunity to take a hike in the area whilst looking for photo opportunities.

Even when the start of the summer has been rather cold so far, Jasmin had promised to take a dip in a lake. I tried to warn her that it’s probably not very pleasant, but she just scoffed me and said “If I am to say something, I will most certainly do that”. And before you knew it, she was already in the lake, refusing to come out as the water felt much warmer than the windy air.

Sure, a latex catsuit doubles as a wetsuit, but I, hating cold, probably wouldn’t have dared. Damnit.

Overall Jasmin was a wonderful model who knows to use her height as an advantage without a single bit of clumsiness. Together we probably shot our record of most photos taken during one Project L – but many of those are repeat frames, as the strong winds forced me to use 1D X’s 12 fps shooting mode to get just that one shot where Jasmin’s hair wasn’t everywhere.

As usual, the behind the scenes photos and outtakes will be released few days after. We shot some video, too, but I haven’t yet had the time to browse through them. If you’re Project L’s Patron, you’ll get to see the video before others, so perhaps you’d like to check that out at https://www.patreon.com/tuomas!
