The weather affects us Finns way more than it affects others. I know I’ve written about this before, as well, but it is simply a fact—a fact that did me dirty during this photo shoot.
I went up to the photoshoot with high hopes, but after seeing the grey, sad weather with literally no contrast at all in anything, I found the contrast of my mood, as it turned sour.
All that inspiration, gone!
But there’s no other choice than to push forwards and to trust the process.
Luckily Didi tolerated my grumpy butt, when we started next to a gallery of… rocks.
And stone.
Surprisingly no dwarves were present.
We didn’t even manage to get the optical illusion working! I think we lacked the 3D movement capabilities in the space or something.
Things turned different when we walked through the TUNNEL OF OPTICAL ILLUSIONS and reached a… park of some sort.
The park was as grey and dull as everything, but at least we could see the intention behind it. It was meant to be beautiful, and this caused me to seize my grumpiness and think about all the possibilities that were… possible.
Somehow, Didi had her sunny disposition all the way through.
Or perhaps she was mocking me.
It’s hard to overestimate how slippery the deck was. Yet, for the sake of our little latex art project, Didi Ou put her life in jeopardy by jumping from another wooden and algal slippery table to another.
Just for the sake of art!
The models of the project truly put themselves out there and suffer for the project.
Potentially suffer, at least
Finland is supposed to be famous for its blue lakes, but, as noted multiple times in previous projects, the rivers in Southern Finland are quite… brown.
This is River Vantaa, which we have featured multiple times before, although on different locations.
For example, nine years prior, we captured the same river from a different location in the 32nd Project L, Watersides of Vantaa with Jonna’s first time in latex.
A lot of water has ran through the river in these nine years, as we fast forward time back to the current moment with Didi Ou.
This small waterside park is probably very beautiful in summer—although still very brown in the liquid side of things—and I’d be happy to return here then.
Perhaps with cans of alcohol, as is the tradition here in Vantaa’s Tikkurila.
A little pathway, laid with rough stepping stones, leads under the slightly-flooded bridge, welcoming us there, just like the gremlins we are.
So we went.
From under the bridge we found peace—or at least I found some contrast to my photos, as the gap between the railway bridge and a pedestrian bridge blocked some extra light off, laying a kind-of-a-tight stripe of light atop of Didi, enhancing the edges of her metallic blue latex catsuit, as well as anything that had a kind-of-a-horizontal surface, such as the butt and the bosom.
Heh. Butt. Bosom.
Hehehehe.
Some say that I am still here under the bridge, enjoying the high-contrasted photos.
They might be correct. I might live here now.

Quite simply, probably your finest photoshoot, (in my humble opnion). The pure simplicity of a blue latex catsuit paired with those delicious white boots. And beautiful Didi is just perfect with her gorgeous hair contrasting so vividly with the simple colours of her outfit. And that setting, totally cool! Love these images!
