There’s fierce competition in the field of silicone catsuits way over in China, so we were not hugely surprised to be contacted by a third manufacturer, FeturaX, who offered us their silicone catsuit to try out.
The most difficult part to decide was the colour, so I gave a vote for our Patrons. Surprising me, the vote fell for a purple (grape?) choice. I was just happy it wasn’t black again!
It is important to note that this suit was given to the project for free, but without any strings attached; we can say what we want and when we want. While we do attempt claiming that getting stuff for free does not affect our shared experiences and opinions, the human mind is kind of funny and fallible – so please just acknowledge that we did not pay for the suit and form your opinions based on this.
What’s majorly different about this suit – compared to two earlier silicone catsuits (Silicone Edition 1, Silicone Edition 2) – is that this suit has actual cups for the chest area.
Honestly, we were a bit worried about the fit of the cups, as it usually happens that Asian-designed outfits usually reflect the slender sizing of the average Asian, whereas we, wide-boned occupants of the western worlds, might have more stuffing in some places. On average, that is.
Maria, especially, has some major boobage, but somehow – perhaps by geometrical magic or by black holes – the cups were filled without flowing over. Or under. This might have been helped by Maria’s narrow shoulders; any wider shoulders, and there might be a worry of the chest area being a little too middle of the suit.
But then again, there are different sizes available, and this one is the smallest.
Of all of the silicone catsuits we’ve tested, this purple catsuit by FeturaX seems the most “finished” product; the silicone is the thinnest one available and it shapes the body quite well.
As Maria explains in the video above, this suit was, however, quite difficult to put on. She used water-based lube, which tends to dry and absorb into the skin way more quickly than silicone-based lube. (You shouldn’t use silicone lube to dress into the suit, as silicone lube can fuse into the silicone suit… somehow. Chemistry!)
This, in combination with the heavy (4 kg-ish) silicone suit makes things very difficult and having a friend to help… helps. Moreover, the thin suit does not have as much play as the thicker silicone suits do.
The thinness of the suit does look good, though. As you can see.
We were also little worried about one thinner part nearby of the crotch area. This little area is visible in the photos as well – and while it does not show any structural damage outside or inside, it does bring questions about the longevity of the suit. Most likely there was a bubble left in the silicone suit mould.
Maria felt that the suit restricted movement more than well-fitting latex does; for example, lifting hands above her shoulders was not really possible here, whereas with latex it is.
The silicone suit was also warmer than latex is, so if you’re currently living in the heat wave of Europe without AC, you’ll really need to reconsider. In colder environments, though, this could be an advantage.
As it is always with silicone, the suit gathers dust and hair like nothing else does. If you think latex is bad, silicone is way more difficult to clean from hair!
This particular version of the suit does not have crotch zipper, so going to the toilet to do your business is pretty much impossible without taking off the suit. FeturaX has released a zippered version of the suit, but that wasn’t published yet when this suit was sent to us.
Previously we’ve heard from other manufacturers that they’ve tried adding zippers in silicone suits, but they have had the tendency to break down. We obviously have not tested the durability of this specific model and cannot comment on it. It could very well be that FeturaX has found a way to attach the zipper in a structurally sound way. I have reached to someone I know with the zippered suit, and will update this post when I have answers.
FeturaX’s femme catsuit seems to be the most finished silicone suit out there, and if you’re into silicone, I’d say go for it.
At least with Maria, the boob cups fit surprisingly well; it enhances the female shape more than its competition.
The thinness looks good, but there are some worries with the longevity of the suit.
It’s good to remember that despite looking very much like latex, it is a very different experience from actually wearing latex; in our opinion it is more difficult to dress into and it does not give the same “second skin” feeling that latex does. It is more restrictive, and while some people might like that, I personally like latex for latex and its handmade uniqueness.
